This particular model is unique in many ways, one of them being that it is a monococque vehicle, something rather unusual in its class. Also drive-train is not standard; you can select from a rear wheel drive or four wheel drive, depending on your preferred choice. Also some other capabilities of a used Jeep Comanche are similarly exceptional. Another great feature of the used Jeep Comanche is its unbelievable carrying capacity, which can reach as much as 1,000 kg! Any other pickup of its size cannot take as much cargo, and even many larger pickups cannot do it also. First versions of Comanche were equipped with a 2.1 litre turbo diesel engine, but that wasn’t efficient enough and wasn’t as economical as it should be. The most efficient and best overall engine was the 4.0 litre, 190 horsepower unit mounted in the Comanche since 1991. The used Jeep Comanche comes mostly with manual transmission, but there are some machines (notably the latest ones, from 1992) with an automatic transmission and good fuel economics. Production of the vehicle ended in 1992, reaching a few thousand of delivered units. The used Jeep Comanche is considered by its owners to be a very good, reliable car, and – as said above – this was the last Jeep pickup.
